It has taken an incredible amount of work from committed Nomads over many years to get to this point – our first ever National Tournament and boy are we excited!
A visit to the resort last weekend confirmed that we have made the correct decision. The hotel and surrounding grounds are steeped in tradition and when I say tradition I mean it, the oldest building at St Pierre is the church of St Peter which was built around 1100 and consists of nave chancel, north porch and bellcote. The Old Course hosted the Solheim Cup, the Mathern Course, although a lot shorter, is in many ways more challenging, the countryside is breathtaking and the staff are super friendly – it is the perfect recipe for a memorable weekend.
Apart from a great weekend, what you can expect:
Friday
- Register and collect your goodie bag, for those of you arriving early breakfast will be available
- Tee off at 12pm
- Ladies’ High Tea, Spa and leisure
- Ladies’ cocktail hour with the Berkshire and Gloucestershire Captains
- Braai (BBQ for Ian Wright) with live music at the rugby club
Saturday
- Breakfast, driving range for those who believe they’re in contention and 11am tee off
- Ladies outing
- Gala dinner and prize giving (not likely to hand out prizes to the driving range boys)
Sunday
- Breakfast and checkout
